Ann Kirrane comes from Bellharbour Co. Clare and a long musical tradition. Her late father, Chris Droney was one of the most respected and celebrated concertina players in Ireland, whose music was known the world over. Ann has written a tune, as a tribute to her Dad called, “A Waltz for Chris”.
In 2012 Ann recorded her first cd of songs, “One Small Star”, produced by Seamie O’Dowd, to critical acclaim. In 2016, at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, she launched, Behind yon Mountain. She has performed all over Ireland and has toured extensively the east and west coasts of America and was guest performer on a Caribbean cruise.
